To use this bus in Autonomous Mode, You must also be using the Stormlink Passenger Mod.

The bus can also easily be used in manual mode without any environment mods.

Introduction to the New Look Bus

The GM New Look Bus was introduced in 1958, and was produced for transit companies in the US and Canada. Over 44000 of these buses were built, and some still operate, making it one of the most iconic North American Buses. Due to it's buging front windshield, these buses were nicknamed 'Fishbowls".

In Stormworks, this bus has been made autonomous-capable, using I Love Yogurt's Autonomous Bus System (Used with permission). This bus runs a new route between North Harbour and Holt Town.

Features

  • Transports up to 43 passengers using the Stormlink Passenger Mod
  • Self-Driving between North Harbour and Holt Town
  • Fully functional manual driving mode
  • Programmable Destination board supporting 99 route numbers and 10 destinations
  • Automatic Destination Sign Changes in Automatic Mode
  • Replicated Fishbowl-Style Front Window and angled side windows

How would this work with the highway mod?

Did you think of a year for this one, or is this just "go with the flow"?

still looks really nice though so you are better off using it manually

it only wants to drive in circles or ram into buildings on automatic mode.

Will it be possible to add Dreimor, Camodo, and spycakes to the destinations?

@Fat Cat I agree, and it's unfortunate that it's come to this, but I'm hoping that the current situation allows the team to reconsider how large changes are implemented. Some backwards compatibility is needed to ensure that the thousands of road vehicles currently on the workshop don't need updating! I will concede that the new wheels in experimental do provide vastly superior grip and with some balancing would definitely be an improvement. I just think if it comes at the cost of breaking most current creations, then that's a price too high to pay.

Oof, I am sorry. I never knew how much bullshit they were doing with their game. That explains it. I'll switch to main branch then. And yeah I am on normal branch now, and I gotta say it works like a charm, man I really hope this new update doesn't come, it'd be a real shame, it'd ruin so many creations.

@FatCat, assuming you're on experimental branch, no. The developers have currently increased the rolling resistance 400%, which completely breaks all workshop creations in the experimental branch. The bus runs much faster on main branch! As a temporary fix, you can switch the wheels to 'high speed' in the editor. However, automatic driving remains broken as the GPS coordinates are programmed for the 'old' wheel physics.

I've raised this issue with the Discord community, but following the muting and banning of other veteran members for raising and debating this and other similar issues, I do not feel that it is safe to continue providing feedback to the developers in this manner. If these changes do make it to the main branch, these buses will likely have the automatic system removed, if not worse.

Is there any way to make this thing go faster? It's top speed is literally 8 Mph, you can run faster than this bus.
