Transit-L2-refit

Description
The Transit L2, the dedicated CV transport of the Hephaestus Spaceport, has undergone a refit to make it more versatile while keeping the aesthetic of the original and sacrifing none of its special features.

Feature:

1. Added detector and fridge
2. Added warp drive and T2 shield system
3. Improved fuel storage and generator systems
4. Installed multiturret and drill turret to help with salvaging
5. Kept Hephaestus spaceport docking functionality and original look of the ship
6. Installed Astic's optional deconstruction script (just remove the two LCDs to get rid of it if you don't want it)

See images for construction costs.

The script use Astics script mod for Empyrion. You can download the newest version here: https://github.com/GitHub-TC/EmpyrionScripting/releases
Check it out. Use a teleporter to move cargo, build a conveyor system, deconstruct automatically and loads more. Leave the setting off if you can't or don't want to use it.
For the deconstruct script to work: install a core into the object you want to deconstruct, group the core, rename the core to (exact typing required) "Core-Destruct-XXXX" where XXXX is the objects ID number. You can see the ID on the objects control panel statistics screen in the lower left corner. If you have not renamed the cargo bays and are within roughly 500m, the object will be deconstructed in the next few seconds. Sometimes the script bugs out and won't recognise just installed cores, but you can just restart the game and it will work again.

Did you ever finish the Haphaestus?

The Perses is nice refit too, I have that in my blueprint list as well. ;)

I'll be interested in your Spaceport refit, for sure!

That said, I have already started refitting the Hephaestus. I only need to finish adding a real nice docking array where a Perses class carrier can dock now.

I reworked the thruster lever in a previous update. I moved a couple of thrusters around before I uploaded the design and forgot about adding them to the switch. It should work now. Thanks for the feedback, I'll move the generator and adjust the ramp sensor (I just left it like Jrandall set it up). I have actually made a smaller version of the L2 refit with a drill turret and a large constructor, but I have not uploaded that one yet.

All in all, very happy with this refit.

After a major SNAFU in my survival game, I found myself out in the galaxy with only this L2 refit. I would suggest moving the generator from the lower front starboard side to the back of the ship, nearer the shield generator, where you have left some space. The rads and heat get annoying every time you enter/leave via the ramp.

I recommend making the ramp sensor reach quite farther down, and a bit further to the back of the ship for quick loading in emergency, and when it cannot fully land right on the ground.

I also recommend removing the thruster/rcs switch which isn't connected anyway, and it's associated LCD (I put a med station there). There is room on the other side of the cabin for a small constructor, should you need one (I did).

By the time I got a new large CV gathered and built, I had an advanced constructor on the roof, and more turrets slapped haphazardly about. These will get removed again for my next, better defended, Hephaestus Spaceport. ;)

Hey, works like described. Nice one!

I made one myself, but it looks less good, and doesn't have Astics' fantastic script. Awesome. Thanks!!
