Figured it out You need to shoot the ground part with the rocket launcher...

At the final part ( Where you need to shoot the statue for the idol to appear, how do you destroy the idol? I have tried everything I could think of and ran out of explosives

there is not enough explosives to blow obstacles and no SAVE OPTION
