Description
Replace your health system with the one from Hunt: Showdown.

//

Hunt Health replaces the default Garry's Mod health system with a modular health-bar-structured system.

Once this addon is installed, upon any player spawning, they'll get a popup prompting themselves to set up their own health bars. If you've ever played Hunt: Showdown, this works almost exactly like that.

The popup on spawn allows you to structure your health however you want, built out of any combination of small and large health bars. The sizes of these bars are configurable by the server owner.

Your health will automatically regenerate after five seconds, but if you've depleted an entire bar, you must be manually healed by some other means.

This addon automatically makes these changes to the health system:
Players' max health is set to 50 initially, but able to be customized to 150.
Players' health regenerates within the health bars they've chosen, but not beyond any bar.

Configurable settings include:
Size of a large health bar (which doubles as the starting health).
Size of a small health bar.
Absolute maximum health (which should be kept way under about 400).
In order to modify these config values, go to garrysmod/data/sweptthrone_addons/hunthealth.txt. Do not add or remove any spaces when modifying values.
Need help? Check out docs.sweptthr.one/stsettings#hunthealth.

Want to replace this addon's HUD with your own? This addon creates the HUDPaint hook HuntHealthHUD, so you should overwrite or remove that one to be able to add your own.

Documentation for this addon can be found here[docs.sweptthr.one].

I made this because I was on a server with a segmented health bar and got an idea.

As in just hitting enter and typing nothing? Anyways, another question I had was how do I make the first bar 2 25% bars instead of 1 50% bar

is there a blank line at the end of the settings file? it's necessary for the settings to work.

This happened after I tried to mess around with the healthbar values.

In Hunt Showdown, small healthbars have the relatively mild benefit that if you burn or are downed, your max health is reduced by less than if you had a larger health chunk. The only way to recover health lost that way is through killing and activating the bosses corpse.

More health chunks = more chances to get revived, but less autoheal

Hey man I'm glad you looked over my suggestion, I hope you have a good new years.

I haven't played hunt showdown and idk what it's really like in the original game. Are there any benefits for players to choose smaller bars over the large? One thing I know is that healing a small bar is cheaper than a large one

if we're going by your subjective definition of "real benefits," no.
