Working Minecraft Fireworks (Abandoned)

You need a separate addon that adds the rocket model! You can use the Unofficial Minecraft Model Pack or Minecraft 3D - Firework Rocket for this. The latter is less than 20 times the size of this addon, in case you're desperate for disk space.



I made this because I absolutely suck at making PyroTeknix fireworks. This is definitely for a special occasion, but... probably not any time this year honestly.

Includes sounds and textures that aren't ripped straight from Minecraft - textures were acquired from Faithful Team[faithful.team] and font from dafont[www.dafont.com]. The sounds are also different but very hard to discern from the original sounds.

This addon adds an entity called the Firework Launcher, under Minecraft in the Entities tab. When using it for the first time you'll get to the Firework Selection menu. There are no fireworks yet, so click on "Create New Rocket" to start making your firework.

Each rocket can have any number of Firework Stars that control the actual shapes that the rocket can make. However, you can make a rocket without firework stars - simply put a name for the rocket and you're done.

To make a firework star you need to click on "Create New Star" and put in at least one color. Currently there is no delay between each firework star.

Once you're done making the rocket you can click its name in the Firework Selection menu to tell the Firework Launcher to use the rocket. Now when using the launcher it will fire your rocket. If you want to edit the launcher, simply crouch down before using it.

Note that rockets are saved on your local machine - you'll still see the fireworks you had made for different servers. They are even customizable and deletable while on a different server. Just don't burn your data folder and your customized fireworks will be fine.

Currently the Trail, Flicker and Color Fade effects cause a slight amount of lag. I really don't know how to fix this, sorry.

The Firework Launcher causes GMod to crash when saved or duplicated. This has been fixed, but let me know if this happens again.
