Expanse is a mod that is made to enhance the experience playing Software Inc. by adding new types of hardware and software to the game, improving existing software and adding more variety to things such as names and personalities. The new software types and software enhancements attempt to be faithful to the vanilla software style, as well as be fairly technically accurate and balanced.

Currently, this mod adds 16 brand new software and hardware types and reworks all 7 of the existing vanilla software, as well as adding 4 new add-ons, 8 new personalities, and 1 new contract work. It also adds a new Video specialization. The mod is always being updated and added on to, so leave your suggestions in the discussions!

• Video Editor - Every young, aspiring YouTuber knows this one.
  
  
• Game Engine - This software is a development tool specifically for making games.
  
  
• Integrated Development Environment - Make software development easier. Or harder.
  
  
• Communication Application - Very useful if a global pandemic were to ever hit.
  
  
• Livestreaming Software - People like watching other people play games for some reason.
  
  
• Streaming Service - Let users stream audio or video such as music, movies, TV, etc.
  
  
• Artificial Intelligence Software - Help computers take over the world!
  
  
• File Archiver - Squish files into a smaller container, and then lock them in. Sounds fun.
  
  
• Mapping Application - Let's be honest, most people really need these.
  
  
• Cloud Storage Tool - Got good server capacity? Rent those servers out!
  
  
• Robot Software - Robot software enables users to control robots. Cool.
  
  
• Electronic Flight Bag - Help flight crews plan flights without killing so many trees.
  
  
• Benchmark Software - Basically the best part of owning a high-end PC.

• Drone - Make cool aerial videos, transport packages, spy on neighbours, and more!

This mod adds 8 new personality traits that you and your employees can have, all of which of course come with their own unique relationships and incompatibilities.



This mod is compatible with all mods in the Expanse collection.
This mod is NOT compatible with other mods that change vanilla software types.
