About
"We at Hearth-Tec value freedom above everything else - except the ground. Get ready to survive goblins, undead and even hypothetical spells of mass destruction with our new kit for starting a subterranean town... Your very own vault!"

[ACE Mod] Hearth-Tec is a mod inspired by Cirdain's "Hearth-Tec" contest for building an underground shelter held in the ACE Discord Server during the month of August, 2020. This mod aims to bring - in a funny and very vaguely in-world/lore friendly way - a bit of the awesome world of the Fallout games into Stonehearth. This happens through a loadout that can be picked by any starting group of any default kingdom.

If you choose such loadout, you'll then be greeted with some basic Hearth-Tec equipment and recipes - the rest can be obtained from that point forward.

The mod works in a way that if you do not pick the Hearth-Tec loadout, there will be no Hearth-Tec content at all in your game except pitchblende veins - these won't be able to be smelted but you'll still be able to use them as common stone, thus not interfering with normal gameplay.

Features
HEARTH-TEC TOOLS
As a Fallout-inspired mod, the heart of its content lies at all the incredible and out-of-ordinary technology provided by the mysterious Hearth-Tec company. Its tools - the Fabricator, Extractor, Replicator and Gas Centrifuge - are the core of the experience, allowing the players to craft and experiment with all sorts of weird recipes.

WIELD THE POWER OF THE ATOM!
Not much to be said about that for now... (Feature incomplete) But yes, you can refine uranium. Enriched Uranium is used to create power cells, a refined item required for building Hearth-Tec work stations! Be careful handling these!

UPDATE YOUR RECIPES WITHOUT RESTARTING
This mod shall probably see some future updates with new recipes and such... Thanks to the amazing Hearth-Tec technology, all users are provided with a Hearth-Tec Terminal recipe! This recipe allows you to create a fancy computer that will allow you to get new recipes every time the mod updates... without having to start over!

Future Plans
I'm currently releasing it as it is to allow for some funny Fallout-inspired contest builds, if anyone wants to try that!
But I do plan on updating the mod with some content in the future... Here are some of the ideas or plans:

SHORT TERM
- Security Armor
- Power Armor
- Security Baton & Riot Shield
- Radiation Effects & Rad-X
- Orca-Cola Quantum
- Bobbleheads!

LONG TERM
- Perhaps some robots, similar to how golems work
- Maybe some unique monsters and a small campaign
- Related vendors/NPCs
- Furniture and decorations
- Maybe some weapons
- Possibly a biome (Wasteland)

Compatibility
[ACE Mod] Hearth-Tec requires the Authorized Community Expansion (ACE) to function.
This mod should always be compatible with most mods as it is pretty much self-contained.

Localization
This mod is completely compatible with Stonehearth's localization, it is in English (en) by default but also includes an Brazillian Portuguese (pt-BR) translation.
(The pt-BR translation is currently unfinished!)

Like what I do, appreciate my work or just want to generally be a very helpful and lovely person? :)

'Fallout' and its related content are a property of Bethesda Softworks; this mod is a fan-made & respectful work - and by no means intends to profit over or violate any of that property. If you don't know Bethesda, stop reading and go play their games!

Thank you for the constructive criticism, I'm glad you've provided so many details on what is wrong or broken, what could be better or what could be changed/added and didn't just let your hormones take over like an angry and entitled teenager! :healthyhearthling:

If you came back to it, would your archers use laser/energy rifle/pistols or guns?

And we gotchu man. It sucks to hear but it's understandable that it's on the back burner, hopefully you can get some time to come back to it. Good luck with the ACE updates.

@El Bastardo I do have the desire of updating all my mods and I slowly work on it, but as you can imagine, ACE is a much bigger commitment which unfortunately (or fortunately) sucks most of the free time I have for modding. So it's never really abandoned while I'm around, but I can't say when it's ever going to see the light again........

.... like a person stuck in a Vault.

Will there be/Is there anything that can mimic sunlight? I wish I could be completely underground. Geomancers can create the dirt but growth is very slow. Need to try with fertilizer but not enough produce.

Are you still working on the mod ? :)

@Japa Urnau
