I'm not sure how to wire this into my existing power grid.

Subscribe to this item, and it will show up in the editor as something to edit.

Open it in the editor, and fold it up a bit/remove extra labels.

Highlight all the parts, and on the left side of your screen, save it as an assembly.

so how do i use this item? it is not showing up in my item assemblies

Oops guess I never updated this module. I fairly sure it's the two white wires coming from the signal block leading to the two relays @ 'surge in' and between the output/timer speed. Those need to be switched to set_state pins.

Also I am very likely going to update this today... probably

idk which component's wire should be moved, pls help me.

Also, this object is... throttled. It will not fight a surge forever, this is intentional, if the buffer fills, it acts just like anything else and starts to take damage/stops protecting the circuit. But yea, it should after the surge, stop charging and stop the damping circuit and discharge slowly back into the system. Thanks for the heads up!

I had to switch to a three part analogue surge protector due to needing that ship yesterday, I'll see if i can drop it in, but yeah that was my assessment, the wires were on the wrong pins

I took a look. If you didn't manage to make it work, I might have found the problem, but I haven't tested it. Try to move the two pairs of wires from the toggle_state to the set_state hooks. I have no idea how I let that slip by, but this was thrown together while doing a huge overhaul on another vessel.
