Kuvaus
An island / coastal map. With its picturesque scenery, I think this map suits numerous different city-styles ranging from a metropolis to a quiet farmstead / countryside.

A vanilla version (no DLC required) can be found HERE

A quick description of this map:
• Only 80K trees, VERY LIGHT.
• Relatively detailed, still the requirement list is kept rather short.
• Pre-existing networking kept at minimum to have that sandbox feeling.
• 4-lane highways, thus Mass Transit is required.
• All transportation mode connections present with the exception of no railway connection since I didn't think it would fit the scene too well.
• Easy to build on. See the end of the screenshots for a heightmap.

Mods used in screenshots:
LUT: Relight Film
Daylight Classic (all to classic)
Clouds & Fog Toggler (disable clouds and edge fog)
Tree LOD fix (ultra)

Other recommended mods:
81 Tiles to unlock the entirety of the island (the far ends are beyond the 25 tile area) and also to gain proper access to build on the coastline as well.
Prop & Tree anarchy to prevent some trees from disappearing at launch.

I'm going to have to agree with all you said, the map could definitely use a railway connection and a bit more elaborate highway connections on the mainland. Had I done this map more recently I most certainly would've included them, not sure why 3 years ago I thought otherwise :lunar2019grinningpig:

This map is my favourite one! Mostly flat terrain, compact and nice looking. But why there's no railways? Come on! they can fit well in the mainland area from north to south. Would be even better if you add another 2 highway connections from north to south.

In terms of graphical settings in game, I have all the settings on maximum (not using depth of field though). The screenshots are 1440p (2560x1440) resolution.

I love this map so much I had to change it and so I feel the need to critique it. I would love to see a v2 of this map. I have created a personal edit but would prefer an update from the original creator.

I'm unsure as to what you mean with "standard building theme", but the map uses the Springwood map theme, which I think is by class a temperate map theme. If by building theme you mean if it's European or regular, it's regular. The building themes can be switched in game though, if you'd like it to be a European map. I hope I answered your question :)

I'd be really surprised if the map itself was broken, as the map has been up for over a year by now with no other mentions of broken highways.

Make sure you're giving the traffic enough time to start spawning as with this map the connection does not run through the map (i.e. connect at 2 different points to spawn intercity traffic, instead it's a single connection only) and thus it might take a longer while to see cars coming in. If the issue persists, I unfortunately have no further tips to give you for troubleshooting. Hopefully the issue resolves itself!
