Cartel - Nemesis 3Z17

The Nemesis 3Z17 is the first ship build by the Cartel. Also know as as the Cartel's embassador, the Nemesis 3Z17 is good enough to fight with a destroyed "arm".

When Big Father was still young and before the Cartel became what it is today, it was his wife, Big Mother, who took care of the organization on an administrative and strategic level. At that time, Big Father was more a man of action. But just like Big Father, Big Mother was also an excellent pilot and she often accompanied her man during the most dangerous and complex raids, like "Bonnie and Clyde" couple. One day, after one of these famous raids, and while the Cartel's ships were heavily damaged, a pirate king known as the "King of Bastards" suddenly appeared with his armada. Immediately they switched on their jump inhibitor, making Big Mother understand that there would be no surrender. Big Mother also understood that no strategy would allow them to win. The Cartel's Mother Ship suddenly headed towards Big Father. Dagger, the Lord in charge of "internal affairs", considered by the couple as their own son, destroyed Big Father's last remaining thrusters in order to immobilize him. Big Father insulted Dagger as a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ traitor, then suddenly began to scream just before the enemy's inhibitor ship exploded. His wife had just sacrificed herself to allow the Cartel to escape. Dagger and the other members were just following Big Mother's last instructions.

But those instructions weren't her last words. For 10 days Big Father was locked in a dark cell with no food, he screamed and beat the walls until he was exhausted. Once calmed down, Dagger went into the dark cell to give a recording tape of Big Father wife's. Only Dagger knows the contents. Anyway, Big Father regained control over him and Dagger took him out of the dark cell.
For 2 years cartel's activities were brutally interrupted. The local authorities thought that pirates had found a way to stop them. However, two strange cases concerning the Cartel weren't resolved by authorities. The first one is a kidnapping by the Cartel of a group of engineers from SMART industries, no ransom had been claimed. The second is the disappearance of an exceptional group of surgeons under the same circumstances.

At that time, the Cartel hadn't enough members and was poorly equipped compared to King of Bastard's armada. Moreover, the Cartel was not growing fast enough, especially after the severe blow dealt by the King of Bastards. Nevertheless, 2 years after Big Mother's death, a huge Cartel mothership jumped directly into the King of Bastards' stronghold. Only one type of ship came out of it, a hundred of rudimentary looking ships, the Nemesis. The King of Bastards laughed, and he was right, his fleet was at least twice as big. He asked Big Father if he had come here to repair his junks. Big Father replied that he was there to take his heart. The King of Bastards laughed again, and told him he was ready to make a place for him among his ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Big Father then addressed the King's armada an opportunity to fly away. No ship moved, convinced that was just a bluff. Big Father then activated the mothership's jump inhibitor and attacked the pirates. After an hour of fight and heavy losses, the pirates realized that the Nemesis was far from being a wreck. Moreover, the Cartel members were extremely well organized and disciplined unlike the pirates. Many pirates finally tried to escape, but were either killed or captured. Even pirate capital ships were torn apart. At the end of the battle, The King of Bastards was finally captured. What happened next is quite hard to believe, and shouldn't be told.


According to what the rare freed pirates reported, their king's heart was surgically extracted without anaesthetics while being kept alive by extracorporeal circulation. Big Father then carefully cut and ate the still beating heart of their king while he was fully conscious. Then Big Father cut into pieces the fallen king's body and gave the pieces to the captured pirates who watched the scary scene. They got the order to give these pieces to the other pirate kings, which they all did. Some say that King Bastard is still alive, or neither dead nor alive. A story that still terrorizes most pirates. Pirate kings have understood the warning and avoid taking the Cartel from behind. Anyway, after this event, many outlaws who were looking for a structured organization joined the Cartel. SMART industries engineers and surgeons were released with a good compensation. We don't known exactly what role Big Mother played in the strategy that ended the reign of the King of Bastards, but there is no doubt that her spirit was here.

The Nemesis is now a living legend, its main weakness is its lack of visibility, but it's not only a disadvantage. The pilot is particularly well protected like a boxer standing on guard. Even with two partially damaged arms, the ship will continue to fly. It's the symbol of the cartel's determination.
