Description
The G.MS-CT-01 HAMARR is a small grid armored vehicle, created heavy reconnaissance operations. This tank is armed with a fixed 25mm gatling gun and a quad-barreled 200mm cannon, mounted to a turret.

This tank uses vanilla blocks only and does not come with any mods. The Decorative Pack #2 DLC is required for the transparent LCD screen, serving as the target indicator. If you don't have the DLC, the vehicle will still work fine without it.

Authors note
I've made this litte tank months ago for a small contest between my friends. However, my Internet Connection failed on me when the event went down and Clang had some issues with the vehicle as well. So it eventually joined the pile of abandoned blueprints collecting dust on my harddrive.

However, thanks to the last update, the HAMARR became a lot more stable and when the Sigma Draconis Cluster[sigmadraconis.games] hosted a tank design contest, I've decided to get this boi back on its tracks.

If you have EVER made a tank before, this one won't be anything special to you apart from a nice look. Also I know jack sh*t about tanks, so any resemblance to real tanks is more or less coincidental. I did of course look at photos of tanks when building this, but it was not my goal to copy a specific design.

Anyway, this received a suprising amount of love during the contest, so I want to share it with you. Have fun o/

This item is in theory capable to be operated in a survival-game. The hull's inventory is fully linked with conveyors and has everything needed to keep the vehicle powered, with ice (Hydrogen) as its main source of fuel. However, the turret has no inventory-connection and the cannon is a single 200mm Rocket Launcher that has to be rearmed by hand and Clang might still come for your if you're not really careful when connecting both grids.
Wheels will be a struggle to weld on too, as they intersect with the armor. So yeah... You'll prababely not have much fun with this in survival.

Description
The common Main Battle Tank has mostly become obsolete since the mid 21st century, ousted by an increasing variaty of aerospace combat vessels. However, while humanity expanded further out of its solar-system, many remote colonies showed harsh weather or atomspheric conditions where air-superiority was simply not archivable. Once more, it fell to the ground forces and armored vehicles to secure strategic resources and positions.

Born in the vast outskirts of Ganymede, the G.MS-CT-01 HAMARR is a light Cruiser Tank, designed as an armored patrol-vehicle for heavy recon tasks. While the tank lacks in armor and firepower to overwhelm serious enemy fortification, it is still sturdy enough to require the opposing faction to deploy a significant number of respond units, to take down a pack of HAMARRs. The tank is agile and fast enough to outrun many other vehicles and features a rather small silhouette, making it hard to track down or land a hit. The CT-01 usually operates in groups of three or more vehicles, performing swift hit-and-run attacks on their target and then retreat from enemy lines before counterforces move in on the battlefield.

@AverageDamage: I don't remember exactly, unfortunately. This blueprint is more than 4 years old by now and the game has seen about half a dozen patches and updates that affected wheels and their hitboxes. But I'm quite sure I set up the wheel first and then build the armor frame around it. Not sure if it still works here, though.

@taidyr how did you get the wheel attached on the ends where blocks prevent it from being added the conventional way?

Impossible to get all the wheels to create when printing from a projector. Otherwise, awesome design.

This mod may help with adding the wheels in survival.

@Rakorun: Thank you! More ground vehicles are definitely planed, but I don't actually have a road map here.

@Beanbag Brad: Thanks! I'm pretty new to SDC and my Internet-connection has a lot of issues. So no big battles for me currently :/

@bookworm408: By not hooking it up to the conveyor-network.

how did you make that turret so thin?
