Description
This is an adaptation of Braden's Evannex for Chernarus.

Modifications :

- Random weather and time of day. ( You can reverse it to default with the radio )

- Vehicles service zone.




READ THIS : The way this scenario was coded allows you to choose which faction will be on each side from default configured factions or even custom factions BUT whatever faction you choose, starting playable units will remains the same as defined during scenario's creation.

for exemple if the scenario makes you initially play has NATO forces and you changes allied faction to CSAT, you will spawn as an Us soldier in the middle of a base of allied CSAT forces.


I didn't found any solution to this issue, so for now I can't do anything about that.


Despite of that all your custom vehicles should be selectable in the virtual garage/arsenal, ai vehicles and soldiers will spawn from the selected faction.

Side note : If you want to modify parameters of the scenario such as view distance,number of ai groups or the faction used, you have two options :

Modify Description.ext

or

Launch the scenario in multiplayer and enter parameters tab.

Awesome, thanks, I'm pretty familiar with editing Evannex for Altis, so, all of this makes perfect sense to me, appreciate it alot!

if you go to https://github.com/Bradenm1/Evannex you can download the uncompressed scenario, then put the folder Evannex.Altis in the following folder HardDiskName:\Users\Username\Documents\Arma 3\missions

From there you can open it in arma 3 editor, select and copy everything on the map.
I suggest at this point you create a new composition for further use ( https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Eden_Editor:_Custom_Composition ).

Then open the map you wanna adapt Evannex to and paste everything or just add your newly created composition.

Save the scenario then go to HardDiskName:\Users\Username\Documents\Arma 3\missions\Evannex.Altis and copy everything except mission.sqm .
Paste that in your newly saved scenario and it should work.

btw if you open Description.ext with something like notepad++ you can edit several parameters of the scenario.

Odd question, if you're still active;

but do you remember what goes into porting Evannex to a new map?

I want to try my hand at putting it on a map i enjoy, but im not too sure where to start.

What sort of files do i need to make or edit?

absolutely adore this, I just wish I was smart enough to add more custom factions like the CDF and ChDKZ

@Dr.Trapazoid You mean you are setting it to zero in the scenario parameters ? If yes, I must say that I never tested that out, plus you'd have to manually edit the scenario to remove all the AI groups you can switch to.

I am trying to set the AI to zero, but also allow to recruit AI. when i set groups to zero, AI still spawn in. is there a way to get rid of the AI but also allow the recruitable ones?

@Dr.Trapazoid I tested it with just required mods and it works fine. Be sure to disable all not required mod.
