KR-1 Khepri Freighter

Not every wealthy merchant of the Void can start out with a fully-outfitted, top-of-the-range cargo vessel, but that doesn't mean that budding entrepreneurs need to trawl the junkyards for rusting hand-me-downs and battered hulks. The KR-1 Khepri Light-Bulk Freighter by Gexin Industries is a light commercial ship designed to cater for the fledgling trader.

It's not big or bulky, and cargo space is finite, but with a powerful rear engine supplemented with two auxiliary thrusters, the Khepri can get you across the galaxy and to your clients faster than other competitors, and at an affordable price. Standard models come equipped with fore and aft turrets to fend off raiders patrolling the jump routes, and a powerful sensor array. Life support systems can cater for up to a maximum 10 crew and passengers. The Khepri is also fully-equipped for microwarp jumps, making inter-system travel swift and easy.
