Built on the same initiative as the Azure Pinion, but sharing very little in terms of design or appearance, the Scimitar excelled at anti-ship warfare where the Azure Pinion proved an effective interceptor. The Scimitar is simple and reliable, with powerful shields allowing it to engage heavy craft. In the Circadian navy it has so far only been introduced to a couple of elite squadrons.
