The Salamander Class Mod

"A marvel of technology! An engine of destruction!"

The Salamander is an all new class mod for Darkest Dungeon based on an original design by S-Purple. An accomplished mercenary from a distant land who has specialized in bodily modification, the Salamander is a nimble but fragile damage dealer, featuring powerful attacks, shuffles, and bleeds. Her powerful flame abilities come with a risk of backfiring on her, damaging her frail body beneath her armor. She has fully original assets, including sprites, animations, and sounds.

"A grim fusion of metal and flesh, the Salamander has become a living war machine. Through use of her flamethrower, she can inflict devastating albeit unstable area attacks on her enemies, or nimbly jump to and fro with her prosthetic claws, wreaking havoc on the enemy's formation!"




Flame Gout

XOOO OOOX
The Salamander sears her target with a short burst of flame.

Standard melee attack. Buffs damage on Salamander's Breath.

Salamander's Breath

XXOO O+O+OX
The Salamander unleashes an unstable swathe of flame, incinerating all in her path.

Good damage AOE. Has a chance to self damage. Debuffs Salamander for extra damage received from Salamander's Breath.

Steam Vent

XXOO O+O+O+O
The Salamander cools off, blinding her enemies with a burst of steam.

Small damage AOE. Debuffs enemy accuracy. Buffs herself for -damage received from Salamander's Breath.

Grappling Claw

OXXX XXXO
The Salamander ensnares an enemy with her chained claw.

Medium damage. Forward 3. Pulls enemy 3.

Pile Bunker

XXXO OXXX
The Salamander rams an enemy with a devastating high pressure spring blade.

High damage, high crit. Stuns enemy. Shuffles Salamander to a random position.

Sweep Kick

OOOX OOOX
The Salamander reveals a hidden blade, tripping up her opponent and piercing them.

Forward 1. Medium damage enemy shuffle and bleed.

Lacerate

XOOO O+OXX
The Salamander lashes out with her claws, bleeding out her enemies.

Medium damage front row AOE. Bleeds.


Overclock

Time Cost: 3
The Salamander winds up her clockwork heart, heightening her speed and reflexes.

Self speed, dodge and crit buff.

Flame On!

Time Cost: 2
The Salamander boosts the efficacy of her prosthetic flamethrower.

Buff to Flame Gout and Salamander's Breath, but +damage received from the latter.

Surgical Addiction

Time Cost: 3
The Salamander feeds her obsession with bodily modification.

Small self damage. Stress other party members. Self stress heal and buff damage and accuracy.

Blaze of Glory

Time Cost: 3
The Salamander indulges in pyromania, heating up her own armor in the process.

Torch burns more slowly. Self buff for -stress and +damage reflection in high torchlight, but +stress if not in high torchlight.

• The Salamander is not religious.
  
• She uses the House of the Yellow Hand.
  
• Her default name is Brunhilde.
  
• On crit, she buffs her own crit chance.
  
• This mod comes with 10 class specific trinkets for Salamander, including Crimson Court, COM, and Sunward Isles.
  
• She has a town event so you can get one immediately.
