Configurable Attract Gold

Description
This mod allows you to configure the strength and range of the Attract Gold perk, and optionally have an always-on attraction (which can be weaker) which doesn't require having the perk.

This mod was originally created by InvidiaHD, I take no credit and am merely uploading it to share with others since it wasn't on the Steam workshop.

In the config file for this mod you can configure a few values:
AlwaysON: Controls whether you attract gold at all times, or only with the perk.
Attracting: The attraction force without the perk.
AttractDistance: How far away you will attract gold without the perk.
AttractingPerk: The attraction force with the perk active.
AttractDistancePerk: How far away you will attract gold with the perk.

The defaults I've selected have you always attracting gold moderately in a very short radius around you (just a bit further than the distance you would pick it up normally), and strongly attract gold at a large distance (greater than the screen radius) when you have the perk. It's pretty funny to hear an explosion off-screen and see gold nuggets come flying at you out of the darkness. Feel free to tweak the values to whatever you want, though!

Thank you @marharols. Idk if i would have had the patience to find this otherwise and i definitely wouldn't have liked the default settings

They mentioned the config is in steamapps\workshop\content\881100\2206409341

It's "config.lua" btw, for those as blind as me when it comes to file types without a default program

Glad you're enjoying it! Unfortunately I don't think it's possible to attract gold powder, at least not without also attracting every material like a Giga Black Hole. That said, I've been out of the modding scene for months now due to moving, so I'll keep it in mind in case there's been an update or something that would allow that to happen.

Because the default values are fairly strong when you have the perk, which means you'll often be exploring around minding your own business only for nuggets to come hurtling out of the darkness offscreen towards you. I dunno, I found it hilarious at least.

I've just checked, and this mod appears to be working fine with the 1.0 update.
