Old South Africa flag FFLGH by jimtduffy. Adopted in 1928 and replaced in 1994 it served as the flag of the Union of South Africa and later the Republic of South Africa. Uploaded as one of a series of old flags for those who set their cities in the past. NOT uploaded for political reasons.

Note - while it is associated with the horrifying apartheid era, it predated apartheid and indeed the National Party responsible for that disgusting policy desperately wanted to scrap this flag but could never get a consensus on a replacement. I play the game set in the earlier 20th century and this flag is used as part of the Commonwealth flags flown at a cenotaph monument in the game commemorating those who died from the commonwealth in World War I, alongside the flags of Australia, New Zealand and the old Canadian 'red ensign' flag. It is not here in any way to glorify the appalling existence of apartheid. I try to use accurate flags from each period when setting the game in the past to make the cities visually accurate to each period.
