GDI02 - Production Disruption

Description
(This mission is a continuation after GDI01 - Unpadded Landing).
(Updated v1.2 - See Changelog)

During your operation in taking out Nod's tiberium stronghold, we sent in a recon unit to trail retreating Nod forces. The intel that they presented us with has shown what we were fearing--a massive organization of Nod forces preparing for an invasion of Europe.

They were spotted currently amassing forces to prepare for a counterstrike due to your victory. We cannot let this happen! While our other commanders work on dwindling their forces, you are to strike at the heart of their operations--their unit production facility. Disrupt their production of additional armored reinforcements at all costs to prevent them from regaining momentum.

Inland forces won't arrive in time as time is currently of the upmost essence, so we will have to arrive via coastal deployment. Our initial deployment of forces are currently running a beach offensive, however, they have encountered very heavy resistance from the start.

Air support has been dispatched to help clear the way to get you in, and you are to push your way inland to establish a base and strike team. Nod forces are expected to be fighting in desperation as a last stand in Europe so we are expecting heavy opposition.

This mission is of great tactical importance that could give us a decisive victory or major loss. Give 'em hell and drive Nod out of Europe!

(BRIEFING)
Good job with disrupting Nod's tiberium cash flow! It's not time to celebrate though as intel has reported that Nod is quickly mounting an armored counterattack after their loss. We must keep the momentum going to push them back further. This area fields Nod's major production facilities. Establish a base and destroy all Nod forces.

Ah brilliant, that's good to know. Also, by the way, you make fantastic maps!

@your evil twin: AI does not follow prerequisites so if you added those in it would not break the map. (: I think the veterancy and more mod does break this map though for some reason.

I'm curious, given that Nod doesn't have a Temple, how they are able to train Chem Warriors? Did you edit the ini file in the map file to change their prerequisite, or does the game not care about prerequisites for enemy AI enemies in singleplayer, and will let them have anything that meets the tech level?

I've been chatting with the creator of the CFE Patch Redux mod about adding multiplayer-only units into singleplayer, & their prerequisites. If Chem Warrios required a Temple then the player wouldn't get to use them until the final mission, so one idea was changing them to only require a Comm Centre. Another idea was to make them require a Bio Lab, which is what Westwood themselves planned during development.

But one worry I have is that such a change might interfere with some custom singleplayer maps like yours. Though if your map already changed the Chem Warrior's prerequisite then I think the map would overrule any changes done by the mod.

Very interesting indeed. I will look into reworking the map to try and get it to work with the veterancy+more mod.

its veterancy and more that messes with something.

Same here, played on hard and no airstrikes at the start

Hey locos. I tried it just now and the airstrikes came and destroyed the obelisks. Have you tried it without mods?

Airstrike missing which destroyed obelisks
try it yourself
the mod Veterancy and more and try it on hard
otherwise very good mission

Yes! A player that plays on hard mode.

Can you elaborate on the things that made it unbeatable? I was planning on revisiting this map after I finalized Nod's second map. I know that people struggled on this map on normal but was able yo beat it. Would love to hear your feedback!

Not beatable on Hard with Mods(Veterancy and more)
