In 1995, Al Snow debuted in the WWF as Avatar, a wrestler who carried a mask to the ring before putting it on to wrestle.

The gimmick was supposedly based on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, but Avatar also bore a striking resemblance to Hayabusa.

Avatar briefly formed a tag team with Aldo Montoya before Snow was repackaged into a new gimmick.
