The Shrike was developed as a support fighter to be used in escort missions. Although not as maneuverable or fast as other fighters, it makes up for this with its 4 beam lasers, which can easily ward off smaller enemies. Its gatling turret on the dorsal side also allows it some protection against enemy fighters, but it is best used to fight off heavier enemy strike craft.
