The Bound was once human, but changed by the use of genetic alteration and extensive brain surgery.

The Bound was violent in nature and hence bound in a net made from barbed wire to restrain it.

This did not stop The Bound's violent behaviour, instead, only making it more aggressive.

The Bound's creator remains unknown, but it is theorised that The Bound is the product of a test, rather than a finished or finalised design.
