spawn this in, connect to a box or cargo system (on the Akaei) and retrieve all components (make sure to select the top option on your multitool or you will get them back in pieces!).
you can than remove the placeholders/ deco blocks/ thrusters and place all your fresh new components!

1 tier 2 CPU extender (Communications room, next to deco computer, in the wall, turn the grates downside so it looks like an air vent above the shield if you're standing in engineering)
1 tier 1 shield (engineering placeholder)
1 advanced constructor (engineering placeholder)
1 small constructor (engineering deco console)
1 repair console (repair bay can be added at level 15) (engineering deco computer)
1 large (tier 1) generator (remove two deco blocks on the ceiling next to the warp core)
2 large fuel tanks (hollow walls? staircase and behind shield, or where ever you see fit)
2 back wards thrusters to add next to the ramps ( the half exposed 45 degree ones fit nicely)
2 lift thrusters in the rear, remove small ones
4 lift thrusters in the side pods, remove small ones. 2 small ones can be installed here for extra downwards thrust.
2 forward thrusters, remove hollow blocks and small thrusters
Any left over small ones could be used as downwards thrust, but you probably dont need it, and CPU points in tier 2 are tight too, keep an eye on them!
The extra generator can be assigned to the same signal as the small generator next to the shield, this will shut it down when stationary / people are not seated on the ship, to prevent heat and radiation burns..

Tier 2 will get you shielded and very capable of handling (very) heavy loads and or high G planets. A bit more protection to your own liking/ chosing; PMW would suggest 4 extra flak turrets, cheap to operate and good against drones. You can expand 2 cargo systems to the rear of the vessel to the maximum 320.000, the other 2 can be expanded till you hit maximum CPU usage (also depending on your weapon choices). The small constructor is expensive in CPU points, but can act as a furnace to process base materials. Switch out for something else if you dont use it a lot.

thanks Jeff, but I didnt think this one up ;) seen it done in the past, and NMK and Fion did it more recently too, and for this build it seemed appropriate.

thanks SGMueller, yeah it just makes the shopping list a bit easier :)
and you dont have to count how many thrusters you need and the sorts :)

... and it adds the possibility to get all Devices needed out of the factory without using a Constructor. Downside is you have to be on the Level of the highest Device used in the package to produce it.

thanks! Ive been adding LCDs for newer players on a few of my builds, if there is early game and upgrading involved. It's not always clear what can be upgraded where, on first sight :)

Awesome idea Pear! I like this new feature builders are adding to their builds. I saw NMK111 made a similar upgrade kit with his Interceptor set. I like this for newer players it makes it very convenient to understand how to do this.
