Adds a custom North African regional innovation that allows people of the Barani and Maghrebi cultures to raid from the 867 and 1066 start dates. Allows you to play as the historical Barbary Pirates along the coast of North Africa!

There should also be a mod that gets rid of that stupid ahistorical "african tolerance" tradition. You're telling me an islamic ethnicity that still treats black people as an inherent servile class in the 21st century is "Tolerant?:"
The more I think about it the more cucked Paradox devs seem on this. I'd love to see them address European slavery in the framework of tolerance.

The Barbary corsairs raided Cornwall & Iceland in the 17th century. Barbary piracy is said to have been brought under control by the British Empire & US in the 19th century.
Venice had not evolved into much more than humble (but genius designed) town resting on salty islands. Other republics hadn't evolved much either by 867AD.
The British had the 'Blockade of Africa' which lasted from 1808-1870 to criminalise & hunt slavers.
The Slavery Abolition Act of 1833, abolishing slavery in the British colonies, was funded through a £20 mil loan. The loan was repaid with British taxpayers' money, with full repayment completed in 2015. A lot of people I know paid taxes to end their slavery. It seems whites are not so bad.
To this day, slavery, usually of blacks, is regularly practised in Mauritania. Anti-slavery activists are tortured and detained.
What you're really looking for is a mod that lets you hunt pirates like the Normans, Varangian Guard (notice a similarity?) & Republics did.

Look like the story of the Taifa of Dénia, Italian merchant republics permanently secured the Mediterranean Sea until the advent of the Ottomans after the fall of Constantinople.
So unless this is disableable after the "tribal" era, it's anachronistic and anhistoric after 867.

Mod should be fixed now, Hafsids have lost the ability to raid now though since they're Andalusian :steamsad:

Also if you ever update the mod i would recommend using "ghw_region_north_africa" instead of "world_africa_north" in the innovation file. It covers the exact same area except for Egypt which i don't think should have easy access to this invention without holding any land in the actual historic Barbary area. You might have to add a custom localization tho as i'm not sure the game has localizations for ghw_ regions by default. Something like:
ghw_region_north_africa:0 "North Africa"

Some parts of this mod are outdated and shouldn't be used as they will break some other raiding related things. Fortunately it is very easy to fix it yourself. You need to replace the text in 2 files. Follow the instructions below:
