Description
The De Havilland Mosquito was a multi role twin engines aircraft that entered service in 1940. One of its defining features was its wooden construction. In the age of all metal aircraft, the Mosquito held up well, servicing in a variety of roles. Though originally conceived as a bomber, it also flew well as a fighter. Over 7000 Mosquitos were built, and the finally exited service with the end of WWII.
