[WOTC] Ablative Padding

Description
OVERVIEW
This is a simple mod that improves the Blast Padding ability from the Grenadier class by adding an effect that grants scalable Ablative Plating (AKA Shield).

I got the idea from RealityMachina's Scalable Blast Padding [WotC Compatible] mod. I love the idea behind that mod but I find that having that much extra Armor is too powerful.

Blast Padding will give all vanilla features (+1 Armor, +66% blast damage reduction)
AND:
  • +1 Ablative Plating for wearing Conventional armors
  • +2 Ablative Plating for wearing Plated armors
  • +3 Ablative Plating for wearing Powered armors

REQUIREMENTS
If you use the Alien Ruler DLC, you will need this fix for the R.A.G.E. Armor.

COMPATIBILITY
This mod should be compatible with pretty much everything and can be added mid campaign.

CONFIGURATION
The configuration file should be in the following location:
<Your Steam Install> \steamapps\workshop\content\268500\2226403099\Config\XComAblativePadding.ini

You can configure how much additional Ablative Plating points you get for each tier of armor.

@ modifieda4 Hey, i was thinking about playing this game again and checked my workshop subscriptions and i just saw your comment, sorry i'm way too late but in fact i remembered that i used another mod to do that.

Very cool mod to prevent soldiers from getting lightly wounded when the armor takes all the damage + dodge as you still get at least 1 point of damage on health.

I've modified my game files to make predator armor and light armors armors give +1 armor, warden and medium armors give +2 and heavy armors give +3
1 or 2 armor point on most vests too to make them more useful for more fun :)

Updated the mod to give Ablative Armor to conventional armors to improve the ability in the early game as well. Also added a link to a fix needed if you use R.A.G.E. Armor (see description).

Love the idea, feels more balanced than Scalabale Blast padding in application, though the default numbers look low considering how damage scales. I'd consider adding conventional as a default and going 1/2/4.
