Ninjutsu Ironmode

Description
Classic Mono mode Challenge, this mode brings the old challenge of Ironmode while adding a bonus scoring mechanic inspired by the Ninjutsu achievement.

No minions in this mode. Colored blocks will chain with each other, adding bonus points as you collect them. Grey blocks will break that chain, knock out your Stealth bonus, and also clear you puzzle board of any colors you collected.

Ninjutsu will be awarded as a 30% bonus if you collect every color block on the track. This is regardless of any grey blocks hit, so it's possible to get ninjutsu and not get stealth. Clean Finish was removed in this mode, so go ahead and grab those last two color blocks.

Can you get the perfect score?

Thanks for the addition of this mode!

I'm currently trying to make a mode, which is based on this one, just without puzzlegrid and a added scoreboard hint that tells you, when you missed a colorblock. I haven't been able to represent the "missed colorblocks" part in the script and to be honest, my lua skills are pretty much limited to basic understanding... I tried to reverse engineer the block detection of the "freeride" mode and frankenstein it into this one. Without success. Any tips on this?

For anyone wanting non-spike grey blocks I found that using "Classic Classic" skin mod fixes that. It is the classic skin, but it makes it only the original block looks.

The closest thing to the old Audiosurf I've found. I've been waiting to do an "Ironmode" series on Youtube for a while, and with Audiosurf 2 released I figured it would be a waste to record the old game, but I don't like the new modes as much. This is classic--especially playing on the "Classic" skin. Definitely a favorite, one to use.

rjaillustrator: Audiosurf 2 came with some pre-programmed grey blocks to use in mods. One of them has the effect of clearing your board completely. Basically, the only way I can make them look "normal" is if I re-build them entirely - which is a lot to do =]

Again, if anyone knows a better way to fix this, please let me know!

I'm fine with the point of view personally. I can't help but wonder what you mean about the gray blocks needing to be spiky to do their job. Is it something you can explain to a non-programmer? (I like the spiky balls, myself. Total dork moment: In my head, I refer to hitting a gray in this mod as "eating a hedgehog.")

Oh and Geist: the Point of View is AS2's default. I'm not sure how to tweak it, or if I even should. Let me know what you all think!

Oh wow, I just looked at this page for the first time in a few months. I'm so glad people are using and liking this mod! A couple things about a couple comments:

Zindaras: Thanks for checking this, I'll have to look into the scoring mechanics when I have time.

Nappa: Unfortunately, this is the only way to get grey blocks to do what they do best in Ironmode. The skin is part of their script. I'll look into it, but I don't think there's a way to change them =/

Mono is apparently now a puzzle mode, so I'm glad there's a mod that's about hitting colors and not about getting the biggest matches possible. I just hope this get's more popular. Good job!

Best game mode out there, but I have a single problem with it. It changes the skin of the grey blocks to spiky balls. It's a game mode, not a skin, so please remove that!
It's important to me since I'm using this game as a visualizer too.
