AE Phase II hauler/explorer (Amphibious!)

Description
THE AE PHASE II.

Old subscribers of my account may recall an old (and to be honest, kinda bad) all-terrain arctic tank broadcasting vehicle type thing, posted nearly a year ago. Now, I have something new: the AE phase II. This vehicle is a do-it-all mobile arctic base, with a plethora of features for various tasks and undertakings.

FEATURES:

-1 large water-cooled diesel engine, viewable through plexiglass in the cabin.
-6-speed manual transmission, with reverse, 8-wheel-drive.
-Top speed of 72 KMH.
-Cruise control.
-Horn (foghorn).
-21000L of fuel storage.
-All-wheel steering.
-Protective bumper guard on the front and underside of the vehicle.
-Stabilizing jacks in the vehicle’s frame.
-1 large battery (with 4 mediums for backup, connected via breaker at the rear).
-2 cargo cranes, located on the left and right sides of the vehicle. These extend from between the wheels to make loading easier.
-2 adjustable-angle spotlights mounted over the cranes.
-The cranes can carry two types of containers, both are custom fitted and spawn with the vehicle.
-The first is a tank/enclosed cargo container. This can haul fluids or be emptied and carry small packages such as crates (NOTE: the door will not open unless the container is below 150L of fluid). The tanks can hold 3500L of fluid each.
-The second is a flat, open-walled platform with mag alls on its base plate, toggled via flip switch.
-Rear-mounted rescue crane with harness (controlled from rear deck helm).
-Unfolding spotlight pole on roof (controlled from front passenger seat).
-Emergency beacon + locator.
-6 flares.
-Radio made by Kilo_Brocardi and WH1T3_No1SE.
-Unfolding monitor that has a DVD idle screen (by Bones), a fully functional map (by Käsekuchen), and a video satellite receiver.
-Weather icon by » p i x x e l «.
-Full cabin heating (duh!).
-Lighting panel controlling running lights, crane blinking lights, and interior lights.
-Lo/hi beams.
-4 beds, 1 medical bed.
-The medical bed will rise out of the floor and reveal firefighting gear underneath. While the vehicle is not equipped with any water cannon, it can still offer some level of support in a fire.
-7 seats in total, 12 counting the beds (13 if you count the rear helm, 14 if you count the harness!).
-6 sets of winter gear on the rear deck.
-Maintenance hatch at the rear, with fuel hose cable with reversible pump (can pump in or out), and 2-way-charging ports.
-Digital side mirrors.
-Generator mode that holds RPS high for generating electricity while stationary.
-60 solar panels.
-Epic logos that light up at night.
-On the rear deck, there is a new button that opens a compartment. This contains flashlights, radios, transponders, binoculars, welding torches, and more!
-Electrical cable tool added next to the ladder.
-4 fire extinguishers spread through the main compartment.
-REAL medkits and a defibrillator next to the med bed.

UPDATE: AMPHIBIOUS MODE!

-At the driver's seat, there is a blue breaker that is labelled, "Water mode." Turn this ON and the propellers on the sides will start to work!
-You still have to upshift and downshift through the gears (in 6th gear, its top speed in water is 30 KMH).
-Reverse does work, albeit slowly.

HOW TO USE:

The key is positioned behind the driver’s seat, on the back of the engine casing.

From there, use 1 to upshift and 2 to downshift in the seat. The parking brake is off at spawn, and the button to toggle it is on your left (along with the stabilizing jacks).

The cruise control will maintain whatever speed the vehicle was traveling when you pressed the button.

Pressing the 3 hotkey in the driver’s seat changes the steering so that all wheels turn the same amount in the same direction (parallel steering). Pressing it again disables that feature.

Both crane controls are pretty self-explanatory. The spotlight crane folds itself up once you turn off the flip switch.

Using the side cranes takes some skillful maneuvering and getting used to, but once you do, it’s actually relatively easy to use them.

DON’T PUT THE CONTAINERS TOO CLOSE TO EACH OTHER. They might accidentally connect to each other, and then you’re gonna be having a bad day.

I think that’s everything of significance. If you have questions, feel free to post them in the comments. Ratings are much appreciated!

2ndVariable out.

By the way i don't know if this purposly built like this but when you put all wheel steering on all the wheels go one way. Again i dont know if that is on purpose but if not you may need to fix that

The car goes on fire for me a few minutes after activating the engines. Can somebody give me a solution? I'm probably doing something wrong.

owlteam2005, Thank you for offering a solution! That middle cable is actually supposed to stay extended (the small winches don't match up on speed with the medium one, even when they're both set to 1.0, and that irritated me xD)
TheSoaringOWL90 26 Sep, 2020 @ 12:24pm
Same with me. I have found that winches won’t work, probably broken by a mini update, probably a good idea to ask the developers (or whoever’s in charge at Stormworks HQ). I have found a temporary solution though. Reattaching all cables by hand will fix all the winches except the middle one. There will still be the hanging cable going through the ground, but the winches still work.
