This is for players that like to take the game slow, and strategically plan out your marriages while also preventing AI from spamming the fabricate button.

Restricts claim fabrication councillor task to only be available for own vassal titles
Also removes the event that gives neighboring rulers a claim when you have a bad councillor.

Update: actually fixed the foreign affairs event this time

Could you restrict AI claim fabrication, too? In the game, often half of the families lose their domain after a decade.I think this situation is not in line with history.

@TheLoneWanderer Yep I know of it, I actually was going to do some work with them, but got caught up in a lot of stuff last year. When I play I usually run my own mods on top of DemD, so for these small changes, the compatibility should be pretty good.

@ac566 You may want to try this mod , they are making a lot of amazing changes that work well based upon the 100s of hours I have put into it. There is a discord that is active for it as well

@TheLoneWanderer I have a lot of ideas on making the game more challenging, and your points are definitely things I consider. I've taken a long break to modding though, I burned out on the game (I put ~350 hours in 2 months) so it will be a while before I think about doing more. Maybe when more news comes out about the game I will revisit, and when I do I'll keep these things in mind for my next projects. Thanks for the suggestions!

I love that you are making mods to make the game more challenging! -have you thought about restricting the ability to Ask the Pope for gold, its so easy to get vast amounts of gold. Sway and murder schemes are too easy in my opinion; getting the success chance to 95% is rarely a problem. Diplomacy skill is OP too, I have had 100% with every vassal and every foreign ruler when I choose Diplomacy and my character starts with a good skill level. Basically a Intrigue, Diplomacy, and Pope nerf... : )

Does this apply to the AI as well? I've seen some vassals of mine having claims on neighbouring counties that they couldn't have gotten otherwise.

@V Careful marriages, intrigue, Holy wars, Vassal claims, Duchy CB, etc. It is much slower than vanilla, but you can easily create a large realm or empire. It's very important to marry off your sons where they have a chance to inherit foreign land. If you do it right you will have the chance to claim their land if their line dies out.
