Description
Purpose
A small ship with two front mounted landing gear, designed to manipulate objects, equipped with the PAM script for easy gravity aligning (lifting thrust is stronger than other directions) and returning to dock.

This ship has an empty mass of H: 19329 kgs, and can move with a full cargo at a maximum tilt of 55 degrees below horizon in planetary gravity using only atmospheric thrusters (or 90 degrees in lunar gravity).

All Programmable blocks are turned off in this blueprint and all toolbars are the same from the cockpit and remote control.

All ships in this set have a rear mounted Merge block and can be printed using a welder wall with one (large grid) piston. However in this design the merge block will have to be ground down if docking via the rear connector, all blocks that require removal are painted bright red.

Hi again Dots,

Yeah if the trailer is full, then the Glis is not going to lift it, however the Hydro version of the Atlas should do the trick, just make sure you avoid thruster damage.

I tested it with the trailer full of steel plate (heaviest compnent) on Pertam gravity, so it should work as long as both atmo and H2 thrusters are lifting.

Unless the cargo is full of heavy ingots like gold, platinum or uranium? That might still be too heavy to lift.

well .. full to the brim? until the red message says ship full? yea .. that's how far I went. maybe I am using wrooong ship for that.. I might need to look for some heavy duty lifter but I can't find any that's small grid and can do the job well. do you have any suggestions? have you made something since this was made? there's alooot of blueprints and some gems can go unnoticed.

Hi Dots, the Glis MK3 should be able to lift a medium cargo trailer, even on Pertam (just tested it), as long as the Glis is using both its H2 and atmo thrusters.

But it would also depend on how full the trailer's cargo is. this series of little tug ships was, as you say, designed to move small ships or even chunks of larger ones around, but not necessarily for heavy lifting.

well .. i tried to lift up and carry the ISL - MCT and well it was not able to. my guess is that this is just to carry very very tiny pieces around?
