Nautical Map

Shows a map, including heading, multiple waypoints and search area. It supports autopilot systems.

Search Area
You can ann up to 5 search areas. The center of the search area is at the gps position and has a given radius. You can hook up the radius input to a beacon decoder to quickly set your area.

Waypoints and autopilot
This controller has NO autopilot but it can communicate with one:
The controller gives you/the autopilot the bearing and the distance to the next waypoint. When the distance is close enough you can remove the first waypoint by your ap or by hand to follow the course. Is the distance zero, there are no waypoints.

You can enable/disable the system with composite In[1] The result will be exported to an output, so you can hook the power button of the monitor directly to the controller.

[4] Add Area (long press deletes all areas)
[5] Add Waypoint
[6] Delete First Waypoint (for the autopilot)
[7] Delete Last Waypoint (long press deletes all waypoints)

Composite Output
[1] Target Bearing in degree
[2] Distance to next waypoint
[3] Course distance (from gps position along the course to the last waypoint)

Inputs:
- Controls (Composite): see above
- GPS X/Y (Number)
- Waypoint X/Y (Number)
- Compass Heading (Number) [-.5 .. .5]: from the compass sensor
- Radius of area (Number) [m]
- Add Waypoint (Pulse): Adds a waypoint. Hook this up to your large keypad
- Remove 1st waypoint (Pulse): For autopilot communication

Outputs:
- Data Out (Composite): see above
- Video Out (Video): to the monitor
- Enabled (On/Off): is on when the system is enabled
- Target Bearing (Number) [0..360°]: for autopilot communication
- Distance to next waypoint (Number): for autopilot communication
- Course Length: the length of the course

Properties:
- zoom sensitivity: how fast you want to zoom
- unit (dropdown): Switch between KM, MI and NMI
- show data (on/off): If position data should be drawn (small monitors are too small for data)
