Original Left 4 Dead themed textures for "Overhauling the Originals" M1911s

NOTICE: This version of the mod is no longer being updated. Check out the new version for ihcorochris's new models. They're much better, with accurate flashlight, animated 3rd person model, and correct flashlight. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2251379983 I have made many texture improvements for this version of the mod.



Only includes textures, need to subscribe to a mod that supplies the models(overhauling the originals pack, or the one in required items as an example). You would need to either sub this mod first and then sub the models 2nd, or move this addon to the addons folder out of workshop, as the one that is loaded first will have precedence.

A classic look for the pistols with a very vanilla feel(as the default pistols now use the overhaul animations as of the Last Stand update). Also includes normal maps, since the original materials had them unused.

Credits to Lt. Rocky for the original materials, and Valve for the grip textures from the L4D1 M1911.

It is because the model includes different textures. Either sub this mod first and then the models, or place this mod in your addons folder instead of workshop so that it is loaded first.

This conflicts with the required model, and it will not retexture it. Do you know why?

I was actually tempted to do that but just ended up keeping that section flat because that is how they looked in L4D1 as well.

Could you possibly edit the texture on the back of the slide to make it look like there's a firing pin rather than just a flat black?

Fixed. It shouldn't reskin pistols besides the 1911s now if you are using the RNG pistols.

Does it change all the pistols (including in L4D2 maps) or only L4D1 maps?
