i just remade the whole mod from scratch. the guide doesn't tell you, but you should make sure to have the option "make new armature" set when importing a .smd. maybe check your vertex groups or weights, i imagine its getting mixed with something else

I saw your comment on splinks melee guide and i'm having the same problem. I working on a mod that turns the pitchfork into the harpoon from hl2:lc and it's not in the hand but the animation works fine and when i thrust i can see the harpoon point come out from the top so the models there but it just isn't in the right place. I followed the guide and everything seems to be in order but i still have problems. What did you do to fix this?

I think I saw the 3rd person has the machete on the ground. When someone else has it equipped.
