HT-42 Virgilio

The HT-42 Virgilio, manufactured by Villani Shipyards, is a mid-range freighter capable of holding its own in both speed and arms. Rarely found out on the wild fringes of the void, these luxurious freighters can usually be found taking jobs on the middle and inner worlds, where the pay is high and the goods are elite. Nevertheless, a few ships of this class have been found creeping out into the edges of known space, taking on duller colour schemes and less wholesome missions.

This third-generation ship features more powerful engines than its previous incarnations, and while inexperienced captains may find the high turning speeds fiddly,in the hands of a veteran pilot the Virgilio soars like a leaf on the wind. A pair of hull-mounted cannons and two sub-hull turrets provide a match for most pirates patrolling the trade lanes, and a high-powered sensor array will ensure that you can see them coming before they see you.
