Halo Isometric Wallpaper

Description
Creates an animated, procedurally-generated chunk of Halo-inspired terrain, complete with Forerunner buildings, UNSC and Covenant characters and vehicles, as well as sentinels.

Features:
Four biomes - Grasslands, Snowfield, Desert and Swamp
Three factions - UNSC, Covenant and Forerunner units
Individual characters and vehicles that fly over or around the terrain

UPDATE 3:

Slightly raised the camera to give a better view of the terrain.

UDPATE 2:

Added a night mode option in hiso.cfg. This is the last number in the list, and changing it to a non-zero integer (-1, 1, 2 etc, its not fussy) will enable it. This forces the background to be black, and halves the ambient / directional light intensity for a less blinding experience. As always, right click on the wallpaper in the wallpaper engine ui, hit "open in explorer" and read the readme for instructions on configuration.

UPDATE:

There is now a configuration file that can be modified to control the procedural generation. Right click on the wallpaper in wallpaper engine, click "open in explorer" and read the README_CONFIG.txt file for instructions. It will allow you to control the biomes, factions, terrain size and landmarks, as well as disabling the automatic changing of the background.

I'm glad you're enjoying it! If I'm completely honest I probably won't be implementing actual movement, as it then needs animation work and all that jazz, and it gets a bit time consuming to do (and I'm lazy lol). Them standing still and rotating around randomly was about the best compromise I could come up with.

This is amazing, best halo animated halo wallpaper out there. Any possibility of having the individual characters move around at some point?

Just as a heads up, I've now added a config file (see the description on how to use it)!

Thanks man, the interval should be 15 minutes, although I'm not sure how that fairs when wallpaper engine pauses it in the background
