Adoption

Description
You can adopt courtier / imprisoned child, then make them your successor if you don't have any living child.

Intro
This mod try to bring adoption back to the game. It's one of those thing we found missing when making KOH.

Features
  • You can have up to 2 adoptee (adopted child)
  • It cost 50 prestige to adopt someone / 500 to set as heir
  • Only adult that's not in war / capable could adopt child
  • Byzantine culture group ruler will give unpressed claims to their adoptees when adopt a child.
  • You can now set your adoptive child as heir if you are old and don't have any living child.
  • You can adopt imprisoned child as well.
  • Lowborn adoptee will join your house.

Compatibility
Iron-man compatible, might NOT be compatible with mods that edit character window.
Should be saved-game compatible.

Language
currently support language (you might find patches if elsewhere)
  • English
  • 中文 Simp_chinese
  • Spanish (SocEnJGP)

To Do
  • Godson equivalent for Christianity.

Changelog
V1.2:
  • You can adopt imprisoned child
  • Lowered prestige needed for adoption from 500 to 50
  • You can now only directly adopt courtier child

V1.1:
  • Can set adopted child as heir if condition met
  • Lowborn adoptee join adoptor's house

Has this mod been updated? Also, I'm unable to make a sole female adopted child an heir(ess). My religion is currently set to equal male/ female preference. Please advise. Thank you! :>

Works well for me with RC, although I can't speak for @KÄSEKUCHEN about the heir thing as I've never needed to make an adoptee an heir before. Thanks!
