NPC heroes DO NOT scale with your level....besides their starting level when you start a new game.
I have a save where i am lvl 980something and they are between 400-500.
There comes a point between lvl 500-600 where the game has a brainfart from all the stats and your PA and MA gets permanently set to 1.
[i've tested this repeatedly]
(Though, SoS has the worst issue with it that I've ever seen.)
Oh yes, I forgot to tell you this: If you complete the game, the added level cap is still in effect.
(ie: 1000 --> 1005) (Just wanted you to know.)
Also, kinda figured increasing the Lv-cap of general units would be tedious.
(And yes, I do understand that the code is in a different language, was just an idea.)
Anyway firstly. The problem with increasing the "Grunts" units level is that they all different, I need to manually change each and every one of them then. And did I forget to say the whole modding tool is in another language? It not in english, I had to google translate everything and slowly build something from it.
Secondly these mods I make is serioulsy 100% a joke. Who needs to be level 1000? PS I forgot to answer your previous question too. Yes I can if I got time in the future make a mod which increase your max level to 10000000000 or whatever max 4 bytes it allows me or was it float. I don't remember.
(I'm Lv569 at the posting of this, with my Attack & Magic Power in the negatives.)
I suggest setting max level to around 250-300. Anything above that and things start to really, really break.
1: Is it possible to increase the level cap for units? (ie: Dragons, Dakn Farmer, etc)
After about Lv40 they become pretty useless as anything except cannon fodder. (Except for high-levels, like Dragons, which are still semi-viable even up to Lv140.
2: I figured out what caused the NPC's to level so crazy fast.
The NPC level is roughly based off of your own level. So if you're Lv20, they'll probably be in their mid to late 30s, or early 40s.
Also, EXP scaling can play a rather massive role in the earlier levels. (Sub-Lv300)
I was a Lv135, Sieged a 138, and went straight to Lv159, with just a little more than 50% of my EXP bar filled.
To be specific, I think the higher your level, the easier it gets to level again, after a point, since EXP requirements don't scale up enough, likely due to players not being intended to even reach Lv100+.
Or their EXP gains are scaled based on your level, and whether they're higher than you or not.
(ie: x2 EXP/battle if NPC Lv = less than PC Lv)
(Or gain a level every couple days for free until they're higher.)
