Real HD Edition Mod v2 (bright) grid

Description
Byte per byte the Real HD Edition Mod v2 pack (hence if you want more details about it, read its description in the link all beneath), with a grid added to place your buildings, see elevations and holes in your walls of buildings better :)
Nicely requested by MS IamPREZSTEVE.

Textures come with a 2-pixel-wide black grid. At one pixel it's too difficult to see (plus the textures wink way too much), at three it's just too bold and ruins the beauty of the mod.
Tree-free: if you already have ♥♥♥♥♥wood or any other forest mod - even default trees - they won't be replaced.
I really hope that you will appreciate it as much as the two-day effort I've put into it.

As always, requests and suggestions welcome, enjoy dear medieval lovers!

Your mode does replace the forrest, but only for jungle and I don't like their style. :/

It would be nice if the grid was brown, black seems a bit too intrusive :P

I tried it once to port one of my terrain mods... It's NO! fun...

Wow. Now I know why there is like only one or two texture packs for original AoC. It just looks like a pain to mod

In the original AoE, the terrains are slp files, and they are splitted in 1-tile pieces, while the HD-pngs cover 10x10 tiles.

Beside this, the old files were already rotated ans stretched, they were exactly 1:1 like ingame. The new pngs are rotated and switched ingame.

So for converting them, you have to create 2900 bmps out oof the actual 29 pngs and rotate/stretch them. Beside this, the only support 8bit bmps with AoE2s color palette instead of 32bit images like now. So you will loose detail and quality. The more diverse/colorfull a terrain is, the more of it will get lost.

Hi, for the original version it's way more complicated as there's no textures in png format, I think they are all stuck in slp or drs files. But it's not impossible so you may try to do it yourself, I can give you the grids in png format to accelerate your work

That's what I’ve been looking for.
I appreciate your work.

And I'm looking for a MOD adds grid to the old, original version, not HD edition.

Do you have it?
Or is there the way to apply your MOD to the old version?

I'll be grateful if you can reply to me.
Thanks.
