Description
Welcome to the NHUFT building.

(Update Jan 5th 2021: Blocky stairs have been changed with wedges. As requested in Frantic's video, these have been changed so that players no longer have to jump up. Hopefully this helped!)

What is this?
This workshop creation is a setup for urban fire training. Firefighters are able to train using a 6 story apartment building. This building can also be used by other groups, such as tactical police units. My main goal was to provide an area that groups could have operations, due to the lack of built-up urban areas in the current game. The building itself has medium detail. All paint blocks were hand-made, and furniture is simplified to reduce lag. This building has no doors, windows, or lights to ensure less lag and easier accessibility.

Setup
This scene includes a residential building. The lower ground floor is parking, the next five flours are housing, and the roof includes a small room for the elevator system.

Located across the parking lot are three containers for water and one Hope container for extra equipment.

The rest of the parking area is also blocked off to leave room for crews.

Included

-Multistory building for operations.
-3 containers of water.
-1 “Hope” container for equipment.

Spawning In
This creation is not meant to be spawned before making a game. Users are to use the “test mission” button to spawn this creation. This is to prevent lag, allow better performance, and allows users to place fires/change equipment before each run.

(The mission name is: “UrbanFireTraining”)

How-To Fire

After opening the mission editor, load up this mission. Users are free to move anything around and remove/add props.

Using the “Add Fire” option, place your fire in the building.

(IMPORTANT) If you want your fire to spread, you will most likely have to place the fire in a kitchen and have it toggled as an explosion. The kitchens have batteries, which will catch fire if damaged by an explosion. This will then cause the fire to spread. I’d suggest having the explosion on the 0.3 timers.

After that, simply spawn in the tile. Beware of the initial explosion.

How-To Fight

Fighting a fire depends on the scenario and team. There are no windows or doors, this allows teams to “break into” the building. If this is used by a roleplay server or in a roleplay scenario, it is fully up to the players to decide how an operation should be carried out.

Ways to get in include stairway, elevator shaft, and balconies. Units can decide which to use and operations can be planned accordingly.

Notes
-My computer does not lag much when this is spawned in. There are, however, studders that happen every 5-7 seconds when a fire is burning. This could just be my computer.

-This was made so that people can plan themselves. You can use this for any operation.

Clips

Have any clips of your squad going in and fighting this fire? Feel free to tell me! I may choose one or two youtube clips if any are made.

Publishing
Absolutely no re-uploading! This is not something that should be published or reuploaded. Users are free to save a copy of their own scene in-game, but redistributing is not allowed.

Looks great but those spawn instructions are terrible. Is it in the vehicles section when creating a scenario/mission? Why is there no other instructions? The "test mission" button is the last thing you press AFTER setting it up, there's no actual explanation. Please fix this, I want to try this but yeah.

Since stormworks missions were gone it made me really sad until I found this. Bringing back all the firefighting in stormworks but putting them into an Urban fire combat situation. This is fantastic once in this entire game there is a fire mission which is a blast.

Thank you for creating this mod :) It would be wonderful for more fire training or fire missions like maybe a something on fire but you have to extract an object or save people in that something. Besides that great job! :steamhappy:

For some stupid reason the timer is now gone. From what I have heard it still explodes, but at a preset time. I am really hoping that this was removed on accident.

@Haughtondawg100 I now see that the timer is gone.. I have no idea why the heck it has no timer, it was there the last few times I played :/
