Description
Blue Hawker VH20 is a tiltrotor aircraft powered by two turboshaft engines. Its main purpose is to transport containers to long distances in a very fast and easy way.

With its rotors tilted forwards it can reach top speed of ~340 kph. Pilot has access to crane controls while navigator has access to stabilized camera and 3D interactive map. This is the last member of my Blue Hawker VTOL Series and is made for the last community challenge (building a sky crane) of MrNJersey.

Be sure that you switched off the “release crane” button and lock the container carrying crane in position for a safe flight in airplane mode.

Major Update Notes
  • Replaced old rotors with the new advanced ones. (Comment for bugs.)
  • Added a throttle lever for turbine RPS. If you're struggling with carrying containers increase the RPS of the turbines.
  • Old rotor had 200k force but new one has only 50k, so I've added the throttle lever for more power. Devs may fix this.
  • Added ground proximity warning system. This system gives audible and visual warnings when approaching any obstacle more than 500 meters in airplane mode.

Important Notes
  • Blue Hawker VH20 uses jet fuel and has ~330 km range. Some fuel efficiency updates may come.
  • Autopilot works by taking control of the tilt rotors. When you activate the autopilot, it tilts rotors forwards automatically and fly towards the target. When you arrive at your destination, autopilot tilts rotors upwards and hover above the target.
  • You can use hold altitude in both VTOL and Airplane modes.

Operating Crane
  1. To pick up a container you have to be in VTOL mode and switch to crane cam.
  2. Release the crane from body of aircraft.
  3. Aim for the container through crane cam and lower the crane.
  4. If you successfully connect the crane to container then “container connected” indicator will light up.
  5. Pull the crane up and switch off “release crane” button to lock the crane in position for a safer flight.
  6. Gain some altitude and switch to Airplane mode then you can easily transport the container to a desired destination very fast.

Yes, For Some reason it looks like the update broke the crane lock system too :( - Every time I connect to a container it FREAKS OUT!!!

Why Does it Lose Power When Fuel is at 20%? - 4000 Litres +/- of Jet Fuel

@Tingil hey thanks mate. I didn't fly it for a long time, it is good to see that people out there still use this vehicle. Maybe I'll make a revised version with a new perspective. Back then I rushed to complete it for a weekly challenge and I'm not feeling great about the body work.

I've been using this for a while now and it quickly became my goto container carrier. It is relatively easy to fly (autopilot certainly helps a lot) and it is very powerful: It can carry a 31 ton container (31,400 liters of fuel) without any problems, as long as you max out the RPS. - Very useful! :steamhappy:
