Thank you for the water depth comment. I will consider getting back into the map and making it more shallow. That is a valid concern for realism.

Had to go with Sao Vicente due to the water availability. If I had it to do over again, I might have oriented the map differently to make water more available. I did, however include many different start locations if you have the 81 tiles mod. You can unlock and pick whatever starting square you wish.

the area around the japanese memorial and the nearby island might be revised: the water between the island and the coast is very shallow, whatever the tide was when I walked it, it never got above my knees for sure.. I *think* that was high tide, too. People gather on the edge of the island, kids jump into the water from the stones. In my own map, when I build this area I always make it a nature reserve park and put an invisible pedestrian path to features there :)

I am starting to play through now, but I already have some initial feedback. I really appreciate the smoothed slopes and manicured highway entrance, as well as the liberal deviations you've imagined. I am having to come to terms with the fact that the starting square isnt actually in Santos, it is in São Vicente, but that is really fine.

Added Japanese monument and smoothed a couple of road sections. Fixed an error with a node that was preventing traffic from reaching the start tile.

I really appreciate the comment Robert. I put a lot of work into this. I used terrain.party, but spent a lot of time modifying my terrain. I considered the island. I may go back and put it in since you requested it.

I started working on my map of santos at almost the same time that you first posted yours,... somehow it did not show up in my searching, or I would have gladly used yours. It is a lot of work to make these, and I salute your obvious success -- yours is high on page two for the top maps the past 3 months!
Your topographical information looks better than terrain.party, at least in the watershed, what did you use? (At the same time, missing the island just beside the Japanese immigration monument is a big shortcoming, you should address this I think!)
I'd be happy to play test yours, and feel free to do the same with mine (my map theme, also published, might be of interest to you, as it has over 100 brazilian first names of each gender and a large number of place names from IBGE data)

Thanks. I will take a look. Super sorry about that.

Hi. No cars coming into my city...
