Fusiliers' Arch, Dublin

Description
Hello folks,

If you like my work, don't forget to rate and feel free to comment, your feedbacks are very important to me.

Here for you a new asset, an arch to beautify your cities.

Fusiliers' Arch is a monument which forms part of the Grafton Street entrance to St Stephen's Green park, in Dublin, Ireland. Erected in 1907, it was dedicated to the officers, non-commissioned officers and enlisted men of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers who fought and died in the Second Boer War (1899–1902). Funded by public subscription, the arch was designed by John Howard Pentland and built by Henry Laverty and Sons. Thomas Drew consulted on the design and construction. The main structure of the arch is granite, with the inscriptions carried out in limestone and a bronze adornment on the front of the arch.

I optimized the base model to make it easy for the game by reworking totaly the texturing and the modeling.

Credits for Benjamim M. for the base model.

Very special thanks to Raccoon for his habitual kindness and help.
Special thanks to Madeushipurpants for the screensshots.

You can search for it in findit mod by "Arch" or "Fusiller" or "Dublin".

Many more coming soon so stay tuned.

Thank you for that wonderful monument. I live in Dublin and passed it on the way to work. I went through it numerous times. It is great to have it in my skylines city too. May I suggest another two Irish monuments you might be interested in doing sometime - the monuments to Daniel O'Connell or Charles Stewart Parnell on O'Connell St in Dublin? They would be superb addictions to the game. Unfortunately the stat of my bank balance means I could not commission them, but if you are looking for distinctive monuments to make at some stage they might suit you. Once again, thanks for this beautiful monument.

Cheers on your wonderful asset and contributions to the community. If you're interested, here's one of your statues and the Fusilier's arch deployed to my current winter (soon to be Christmas) build. I used PO to size the opening to match a standard walking path and open the gate. https://imgur.com/a/8giVYpC

OMG I've been there. I know plenty of folks have - but we honeymooned in Ireland - it was absolutely amazing and St. Stephen's Green was an absolutely beautiful park and one of my fave photos is of a tree there. You could probably guess the one if you've been there ;)

Well done!
