Seems a handful of folks prefer the glocks over the P220s, so I whipped this up from the Overhauling the Originals models.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this compatible with custom textures (reskins)?
A: Let's get this out of the way, no, these models are unfortunately not compatible with reskins.

Q: Why not?
A: Due to the nature of the vanilla glock model being half-drawn (meaning the whole left side of the gun is missing as in the vanilla game, you never see that side), it would require a ton of additional work by a skilled modeller (which I am not) to not only complete that model, but also make it use the vanilla textures. Thus, these models use the improved textures created by the Overhauling the Originals team.

Q: Aren't The Last Stand animations the same as the ones from Overhauling the Originals?
A: Not quite. Overhauling the Originals was created before the vanilla pistols were given the capability to have reaching animations, so this uses The Last Stand animations, as they include those animations, and are thus more definitive.

Q: Is this mod compatible with reanimation mods?
A: No. Weapon models are attached to the animations, so if you tried to install a vanilla reanimation mod on top of this, it wouldn't work.

Q: Does this crash the game when launching Survival?
A: In my testing, no.

Q: Does this work with sv_consistency 1?
A: It should, but I don't know for sure. The only thing that would make this mod inconsistent is if a world model had different physics than vanilla, but the way I compiled the droppable world model, it should use the same physics model as the vanilla pistol, preventing that from happening.

Q: Does this mod come with custom sounds (I.E. making both the pistols use the same firing sound)?
A: No, I made them a separate file instead. I didn't include them in this file so that if anyone has sound mods they'd prefer to use they wouldn't have to either edit this mod or not use it at all if they didn't have the knowledge to edit it.

Q: Do the slides go back in third person when reloading?
A: As of the 2.0 update, yes! This functionality has been restored. The magazine also comes out of the single pistol when reloading.

Q: Why does the single pistol float over your left hand in first person?
A: The glock is just inherently a shorter pistol down there compared to the original P220, and the animations aren't adjusted to compensate. I won't fix this, sorry.

I notice this inherits the issue from Overhauling The Originals where the back of the slide is static and doesn't move with the rest of the slide

hey, how did you get the slides and mags working in third person? I'd like to restore that functionality to the rugers and P220s from overhauling the originals

Just wanted to drop a comment and say amazing work, honestly. I always wanted to have dual Glocks and I'm glad I found this.

If anyone is interested I made some HUD Icons and weapon script for this set. You can find them in my guide.

I do like two glocks and the animations... the half missing model/textures I'm not the biggest fan of, but I understand the limitations and don't fault you at all for that. Good work!
