APG-4A AESA Radar

Description
This is a demonstration of the setup of the A version of the APG-4 series radar.

This version includes:

1) Range-while-scan function
2) Track up to 100 targets
3) Scan ranges of 625, 1200, 2500, and 5000 meters.
4) Select 36, 108, and 180 degree scan widths
5) Differentiate between air and sea targets
6) Pitch and Roll stabilized
7) Exported target data:
-Ch1) GPSX
-Ch2) GPSY
-Ch3) Altitude
-Ch4) relative azimuth (+/- from direction of radar in turns[-.5 to +.5])
-Ch5) relative elevation (+/- from direction of radar in turns [-.5 to +.5]
-Ch6) Direct range (in meters from radar)
8) Single-target lock-on mode
9) Quick-Lock mode
10) Functional start-up BIT test
11) Lock-mode Accuracy bubble (smaller the bubble the narrower (and better) the accuracy)

OPERATION:
=========================================================================
To change the range setting upward, touch the top half of the display and the bottom half to cycle down.

To lock a specific target, cycle to it with the Left and Right Target Cycle buttons and then press the LOCK button. To quickly lock a target in front of you, press the QUICK-LOCK button to lock the first thing the radar detects in a narrow band in front of the radar. If the radar loses track of a target while in LOCK mode, it will automatically display a LOST indicator and switch back to general tracking mode.

Air targets (targets detected above 15 meters of altitude) are displayed as a '+' and sea/ground targets detected below that altitude are displayed as a '='.

CUSTOMIZATION:
=========================================================================
You can select between three scan widths in the properties of the microcontroller: Narrow (36°) Standard (108°) and Wide (180°). If you are using the radar on a large ship or ground vehicle and do not want/require the roll indicator, turn in off by enabling 'REJECT' in the properties. You can increase that scanning speed by increasing the BEAMWIDTH. If the radar is mounted on a fast moving vehicle, it is recommended to use the higher scan speed.

I combined the four main input controls into a composite so you can feed those controls from an instrument (as it is done in this demonstration) or you can feed the inputs from a seat of HOTAS for use in fighter jets so you can operate the radar without taking your hands off the controls.
=========================================================================

=========================================================================
NOTE: It is important to understand that this radar is automatically pitch stabilized AND roll stabilized. A mechanical stabilization system is not required for accurate Altitude and GPS target information. Make sure the compass and tilt sensors are fixed with the radar. Do not rotate or pivot the radar without the sensors.
=========================================================================

Future versions are planned to build on this version as a foundation.

Feel free to use this system in your creations but please do not re-upload direct copies of this radar.

Special thanks to the guys and gals on the Stormworks Discord LUA page that helped with some of the math and troubleshooting.

This radar works for airborne creations. The range is limited because it was designed or use with the legacy radars.

I have two questions:
1: should i pick your airborne version on a plane?
2: is there a way to have a longer range?

D: im telling their mum !

Unfortunately not. Since the devs removed the ability to manually adjust the beam, this system isn't really possible to make with the new radars.

is there a version like this but with the new radars

all good, thank you for the response tho! i greatly appreciate it :D i hope there will be a radar like this for the new radars soon, be perfect for easily finding the refueling plane
