Intermodal Double Cargo Station

Description
SImple, undecorated, Intermodal Cargo platform/Station with double tracks.

Inspired by cr4qsh0t's 'Mini Cargo Station Strip (Functional)', and based on Bloody Penguins 'Double Track Cargo Station', at 16x3 this is the most compact double cargo station possible, without relying on anarchy to connect tracks.

Note 1: Preview image includes an industrial road, and vanilla container props - These are NOT included in the actual asset, but show what this would look like with some quick, simple detailing.

Note 2: Like Bloody Penguins 'Double Track Cargo Station', this will also function as a gateway, transferring cargo from trains arriving on the outside track to those spawning on the inside, for those wanting to keep their external and internal lines separate. This is a reverse of Bloody Penguins set-up, being more efficient for those using both tracks on the same network.

@squirrelarmyuk - Are you going to release your cargo station? Thanks

The toll approach sounds similar to what I have come up with. I don't think it's possible to do as a single asset and having the truck path crossing the tracks, I've based my idea of a terminal station

@squirrelarmyuk - Sub-buildings, with multiple truck entrances? From everything I've seen, the biggest issue with that approach is that cargo (trucks) will always take the shortest route, so only end up using one entrance. I think there's one station out there that got around this by using a toll station to spread trucks across lanes, before then immediately splitting lanes to the different truck entrances - I haven't played with that approach yet, though.

I think this station is about as compact as you can get while retaining all road options and truck respawn, as the respawn marker has to be around 8-12 points (I forget which) from the train spawn points (any closer and trucks never respawn/unload).

The single entry point for trains has been something I have been trying to work out for a while. I've made a couple of double tracked stations and ran into the same issue.

I have come up with a solution and currently texturing a quad tracked station with all trains using all 4 tracks in and 4 tracks out. Definitely nowhere near as compact as your station though.

@squirrelarmyuk - Nope, 1 truck path. It's basically the Train/road cargo harbour, but with 2 train lines rather than a train and harbour. Trains can only arrive at spawn 1 (game limitation), but can spawn on both Spawn 1 and Spawn 2.

What determines the spawn behaviour of the trains? Is an additional cargo truck path needed to service the second line?

@Ben Wei,LU!NB - Doesn't 'fix', just reverses it.

Inside track can spawn, but not receive.
Outside track can spawn, and receive.

This is more efficient as trains always try to spawn to the inside track first, so you're basically creating one line for spawning, and one for receiving (which can also spawn, if needed).

Cause bloody penguin said there must be a upcoming new mod to fix that problem

Do this assets fix the problem, outside track don’t receive train?
