The Type 3 Shuttle, Dignitary Class.

The type 1 shuttle was cramped, impractical and pilots incessantly complained that flying in a straight line was nearly impossible. So the Starfleet Corps of Engineers created the type 2. That one was too big for traditional hangar bays, difficult to fuel and was chock full of wasted, useless space. About to throw in the towel, they created the type 3. Built and designed from the ground up to ferry personnel in a universe where transporters simply aren't possible. Three variants of the new shuttle were created, the SC-1001-Dignitary, the SC-1002-Geneva and SC-1003-Havre, were the first named shuttles of those three types to be created. The first, is the most basic personnel shuttle, the second is designed to carry important persons and their aides in the greatest comfort to and from starships and the last, a much needed cargo shuttle for when small cardboard boxes just won't cut it.

The Important Stuff:

The Type 3 can seat a maximum of 8 (basic model) and a minimum of 2 (cargo model), it is capable of taking off from any planet in the game but fuel efficiency will vary. With an efficient pilot, it should be able to reach orbit from any planet in the game.

Maximum weight for atmospheric thruster ONLY configuration: 270 tons
Maximum weight for a fully fueled shuttle: 500 tons

215 tons
400 tons

This shuttle is survival ready, everything is conveyored up, and its ridiculously overpowered power plants make it compatible with weapons / shield mods.
