GENERAL DESCRIPTION

“The Arena of the Undead is a Dwemer city lost to the ages and cursed by the souls that sought to plunder it."

Hey guys, I know it's been a while since "Barzanthium" and I hope you guys are still trekking through the lands of Skyrim with the same adventure and curiousity as when you first played. I know I still am.

I've decided to russle up this epic multi-leveled arena mod. This is extremely challenging, and well suited for players who have become too powerful for enemies in Skyrim. If you think Ancient Dragons are easy to kill, try the Arena of the Undead. I made this mod with the suggestion from “.:4th Thomas Was Not Alone,” who inspired me to create this legendary arena.

The Arena of the Undead consists of an Armory, a Hall of the Champions, and 10 leveled arenas each named for their difficulty. You should be at least level 50 or higher to attempt this challenge. It is strongly advised to read the information provided below for further clarification. There is a rule book within the game and a short lore friendly book for role-players.

The entrance looks like a Dwemer ruin and is located north-east of Dawnstar on a small island near the coast. Travel to the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary and walk eastward along the coast. You're bound to spot it. The first key (The Key of Woe) can be found in the "Adventurer's Chest" by the stone bed. Defeat the hordes of undead and salvage the key from their leader to advance to the next arena.

With so many enemies encountered in a dungeon type arena, there's bound to be lag right? Not exactly. I used a different type of lighting than from normal dungeons found in Skyrim. It uses the least amount of polygons to render therefore drastically reducing the amount of lag that would have normally occured. This doesn't hinder you from the massacre from which you will attempt to bestow.

I encourage you to screen-record your adventure through the Arena and feel free to upload it to Youtube. Shout me the link as well! I would very much like to see how players experience the Arena, as from what I intended. This will help me improve the Arena as I can see exactly what players are encountering.

RULES AND TIPS
==============
Arena Rules:
1. Slay all the undead before they slay you. Enjoy it while it lasts.
2. Once you enter the arena, you have no way to surrender. The boss of that arena will have the key to open the next door. You will be returned to the Armory after each Arena.
3. No use of console commands before, during, or after each encounter in the Arena. Adjust all settings to default including boosted skills, etc.
4. Only vanilla items are allowed to be brought or used in the Arena. Crafted or improved vanilla items are also allowed.
5. Absolutely no enhanced (including mods) weapons, armor, spells, potions, clothing, or any other form of items are to be brought, carried, or used in the Arena. That defeats the purpose of the Arena. Hence, downloading this mod to be pretty pointless. Don't ruin it for yourself, and experience the shear challenge first hand, unaltered by the use of enhancement mods.

Helpful Tips:
1. Come prepared, the hordes of undead are merciless.
2. Save outside the arena before entering.
3. Quick save (F5) in the Armory before entering each Arena.
4. Send home your followers. Followers can not be used in the arena. Not even Lydia.
5. Only carry the essentials into the Arena, iron ingots are going to do you no good in pitch combat. Excess junk will most likely weigh you down.
6. There is a non-respawning player chest to safely store your goods in the Armory.
7. The difficulty increases exponentially, therefore it is best to lower your difficulty settings. It will be almost impossible at the higher levels with a high difficulty setting.
8. The undead vary in combat and strength, obliterate the weaker ones first.
9. Keep moving! You will be overwhelmed if you plant yourself, unless you are a tank type character.
10. Hope for the best, be prepared for the worst!

Skyrim –> The Pale –> The Arena of the Undead

The entrance can be found north-east of Dawnstar in the Sea of Ghosts, on a small island near the coast. It is of Dwemer origin, and can easily be spotted if travelling along the coast.

No intial map marker is available, however it will be "discovered" once you find it.

The following gives you a general idea of the difficulty, however excludes other factors like what type of enemy. That is what you'll find out for yourself. :)

7. Decimation - 26
8. Inferno - 32

The Arena will reset after 48hrs.

You have been warned! This arena is extremely challenging. The minimum recommended player character level is 50. It is strongly advised to level up to at least level 50, though levels 90+ is better suited.
