Description
The Codex: Puzzle #7

This is seventh in a series of puzzles in the Codex Radicis Rationalis

← Previous Next →

Procure phosphorus and two byproducts of the reaction — one, a gas, and the other, a salt of silicon. You must accomplish this task with sieved sand [SiO₂] (represented by the lead–earth–air molecule), and a sample of human urine [NaPO₃]. The same reagents were used by the chemist Robert Boyle in 1680 when he first isolated phosphorus along with his assistant.

Difficulty: Fair [6/10]
