THE hundred and thirteenth volume of the Journal of Alchemical Engineering chronicles how Emeritus Professor Henley Servin formulated his remarkable pseudoprotein with little-to-no knowledge of Hermetic applications in the life sciences. The prototype was unveiled only six years after its completion to much commendation from Faculty IX and the attendees of the symposium. Servin's self-proclaimed "total work of art" would eventually inspire the next generation of spagyrics to come, and the generations after them. None, not even the most proficient of engineers, anticipated this paradigm shift in alchemical chaining. Proteins, though they have been studied extensively for centuries, have hitherto never been artificially created.
