Description

I think The Butcher's Circus DLC does a better job at capturing the unique strengths and weaknesses of some of the classes than the single player campaign does. I also thought that single player Anti deserved more love. So, why not combine the two?

Circusy Antiquarian simply changes the Antiquarian so that she works similarly to her BC counterpart. She has AoE festering vapors, and party-wide regen as you would expect.
I also made other minor tweaks to her moveset (see changelog). This makes her more of an asset than a liability in most parties, while also trying to keep her balanced and not OP.

As always, feedback is much appreciated. I might try to make more classes in a similar vein in the future. Special thanks to the whole DD modding community for continuing to support this fantastic game and inspiring me to make this mod!

Circusy Antiquarian changelog (CoM Patch), mod v 1.1:

- +1 HP at all levels (brings her in line with my CIrcusy Shieldbreaker Rework)
- slightly higher blight resistance

Nervous Stab
-chance for small stressheal on self
-clears horror on self
-> a reference to her meme-worthy horror-themed trinket in multiplayer

Festering Vapors
-AoE blight
-accuracy, dot values and duration adjusted to prevent it from becoming OP

Get Down (2 uses per battle)
-moves her back two
-stealth self
-buffs her speed and crit resistance
-no death blow resist buff cuz that would've been too much I think

Flashpowder
-destealths, marks, and small accuracy + crit chance debuff

Invigorating Vapours
-unchanged

Fortifying/Rejuvenating Vapours
-party-wide restoration just like in Butcher's Circus (scales with upgrades, with a % chance for better heals that now makes every upgrade actually worth buying)
-party-wide flat 0-1 heal in addition (with upgrades)
-adjusted scaling and duration to prevent OP-ness: the goal is to turn her into a decent primary healer while not completely overshadowing other healing classes (talkin'bout you Vestal)

Protect Me
-also buffs the guarding party member for stress resistance
-buff duration reduced for balance purposes

Trinkets
-> Converted +50% healing buff on Candle of Life and Master's Essence to a flat +1 hp heal, for greater synergy with her new moveset.

i figured out how to mod, --all modded up now. i changed the healing, and poison-vapors to still be party aoe, but with only a 60% chance to land at level 1 scaling up to ~120%

also buffed weapon damage by 1 across the board, but ending at the same max as circus vanilla.

with your permission i'll upload it as a separate mod, and give you credit :steamthis: :lunar2020halodragon:

love love love these changes, but cant use the mod because the heal is rediculously op. :steamfacepalm:

drop the heal from full party and this is the #1 antiquarian mod.

or, maybe you could tell me how to do it and ill upload a weaker version? :lunar2020halodragon:

I really like this mod except for the fact that "Protect Me" doesn't mark the target. There's several mobs that have a significantly higher chance to attack a marked target, and pairing an Antiquarian with a Flagellant is a favorite combo of mine. It not only allows the Flagellant to use his most powerful abilities, but take important enemy attacks (like the giant's 1-shot ability). If it's not asking too much I would greatly appreciate "Protect Me" to be fit with marking the target.

What I really like about your reworks is that you don't just straight up buff them, you actually give them nerfs too to account for the buffs. Some of the "reworks" I've seen just make them more powerful. And some of them are boring, lol. But yours are really interesting, it's what I was looking for in a rework :)

While I get these are supposed to be Circus-inspired, Festering and Fortifying being full-party moves with those effects, is pretty bonkers

Other than the Festering Vapors (which i mentioned in Feedback & Balance thread) i think this is the best anti rework out there
