Sumosaurus

Description
Adds both the “Sumosaurus and Aberrant Sumosaurus” into the game.

MOD ID: 2291538283

WARNING! Ever since the Ark Genesis 2 update, this mod is having many issues. I will also need to make the new additions of the next update stable as well, otherwise, the updated rampage buff for the other dinos will permanently change the stats to the incorrect value. I am currently working on this.

ALSO, If you are planning to breed the Sumosaurus, “PLEASE BE CARFUL AND BACK UP YOUR SAVES!” due to an uncommon bug were the baby’s become aggressive and will destroy your entire base.

Sumosaurus is a sumo wrestler-like dinosaur. Although the name may sound funny to most tribes, once the Sumosaurus is encountered the situation quickly becomes terrifying. The Sumosaurus is no laughing matter.
Appearance: The Sumosaurus is a hybrid of four Ark dinosaurs and creatures. It is composed of the tail and horns of a “Doedicurus”, the scales of a “Thorny Dragon,” a body fused with the size and aggressiveness of a “Giganotosaurus” and the head and tusks of a “Phiomia.” Strangely, the Sumosaurus has a skeletal structure that no other dinosaur has. The Sumosaurus is not obese, but big-boned. Its rib cage fills his entire abdomen with a large bone plated shield of horns in front that is used for ramming its prey.

Behavior: Sumosaurus, similar to the Trike, will charge at anything that crosses his path. It begins with a sumo stomp and then bulldozes through everything like rocks, trees, and small dinos until it reaches its primary prey, smashing its horns into its victim, which will shock its target with a stun twice the effect of what the trike will do.

As the Sumosaurus is related to the Giganotosaurus, it has rage. But, because it is a breed related to non-aggressive dinosaurs such as the Phiomia, which flees when attacked, its rage is fuel when it kills something instead of taking damage. This causes the Sumosaurus to go on a rampage, giving it more strength and the craving to destroy more and more raising its rampage even higher.

Sumosaurus can take a lot of damage, as well as emitting a lot of damage. If a large horde of dinos crowd the Sumosaurus and cause enough damage, the Sumosaurus will do a “Mega Tail Sweep” pushing the horde away with a mighty swing. The Sumosaurus can also do this with sea creatures as well.

Gameplay: When riding the Sumosaurus, the ram attack controls are similar to the Trike ram controls. The red heart icon to the right of the screen is the amount of the ram charge, just like the Trike. The ram attack also has an option of harvesting from resources it breaks while ramming. This is disabled by default just in case the weight status is low and ends up encumbered.

Its “rampage buff” will take effect if the player kills enough dinosaurs in a certain amount of time. You can see the progress by looking at the green heart icon below the red heart. Once it’s filled up, it will activate the rampage. When in rampage mode, in the last image above, you will see a ring bar displayed that indicates the rampage status. The orange bar is the rampage value. The bar will increase every time you slay something. The value is also multiplied if the player kills multiple dinosaurs with a single attack. The higher the rampage goes the harder it is to gain. The three red bars show the time it maintains its current rampage status which reduces over time. When all three red bars go down the rampage will begin to descend. If the player takes its Sumosaurus rampage to the max, the yellow glowing bar will start to overlap which indicates the time it keeps its bonus. The bonus mode will cause the Sumosaurus to be invincible and also gives the rider looting quality bonus as well.

Its tail is useful for harvesting resources such as metal from rocks, similar to the Ankylosaurus and Doedicurus. It also can use its tail to harvest wood as well.

#ContrarION, The Sumosaurus you probably encountered has the rampage buff to its max and this will cause it to generate health more rapidly. I really want to fix that among many other issues. But, when my laptop reached its age, I had to get a new computer which is preventing me to update the correct mod ID. I did not want to make a new workshop item where people would lose their dinos. At the moment I am working on redoing the mod for ASA and there are going to be a lot of changes and fixing.

Sounds like a great idea! At the moment I am in the middle of working on a new mod as well as trying to fix my mod uploader in Ark Dev. The Sumosaurus mod breaks whenever I make a new update.

can you make a new mod with a dodorex similar to the extinction core "Beast of Darkness", but make it like the prometheus creatures (if an enemy goes close to them from another mod they delete the enemy, so like the "destroymytarget" command)
